Most of our residential installations range from $1,500 to $5,000 depending on the size of your home, the complexity of the design, and how much of the roofline, landscaping, and entryways we're dressing. Commercial and large estate projects typically begin at $2,500 and scale from there. Every quote is custom — we'll walk your property, understand your vision, and give you a precise number before any work begins. No surprises.

Everything. Your investment covers a custom design consultation, professional-grade commercial LED lights, full installation by our trained crew, mid-season maintenance visits if anything needs adjustment, and complete takedown and storage of all lights after the season. You don't lift a finger from start to finish — and nothing gets left in a tangled box in your garage.

The honest answer: the earlier, the better. Our installation calendar for November and early December fills each fall — sometimes as early as September. It's a relaxed, no-pressure conversation — by phone, video, or in-person. We ask about your home, your style preferences, and what you've loved or hated about holiday lighting in the past. From there, our design team puts together a custom lighting plan with a clear, itemized quote. Most homeowners receive their proposal within one business day. There's zero commitment until you decide you're ready to move forward.

The lights are included in your annual service fee. We use our own commercial-grade LED product — the same type used on high-end retail properties and hospitality venues. This means your display looks dramatically better than anything available at a big-box store, and we handle all replacements if any bulbs fail during the season. You own the experience; we own the equipment.

We monitor the forecast closely and reschedule proactively when conditions aren't safe for roofline work. Your slot on the calendar is protected — we keep a tight buffer built into every week specifically for weather flexibility. Most clients are fully installed by mid-November with time to spare before Thanksgiving.

We come back and fix it, free of charge. Every service package includes at least one mid-season maintenance visit, and we're just a phone call away if anything needs attention between visits. Your display should look flawless from Thanksgiving through New Year's — that's our promise, and we stand behind it.

Both options are available. Many of our clients love their design and simply have us reinstall the same look each year — it's seamless, and we keep detailed records of every install. Others enjoy refreshing a section of the design each season. Either way, returning clients are prioritized on the calendar and receive design updates at no additional consultation fee.

No. This is one of the top concerns homeowners have, and it's completely valid. We use professional-grade plastic clips specifically designed for each type of roofline, gutter profile, and fascia material — never staples, nails, or adhesive that can compromise shingles or paint. Our crew is trained to work on all roof types including cedar shake, architectural shingle, tile, and metal. When we leave, your property looks exactly as we found it — except with a lot more sparkle.

Safety is our #1 operational priority. Every crew member is trained in ladder safety, fall protection, and roofline work before their first installation. We carry full general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage — which means if anything unexpected happens on your property, you are fully protected and bear zero liability. We're happy to provide proof of insurance documentation before any work begins. You should ask every contractor you hire for this; many can't provide it.

Not with our system. We use energy-efficient commercial LED lights that draw a fraction of the power of traditional incandescent strings. Before finalizing your design, we assess your home's available exterior outlet capacity and total electrical load to ensure everything stays well within safe limits. For larger displays, we may recommend a dedicated outdoor outlet be added — we'll flag this upfront, not after installation. Our connections are weatherproofed and rated for outdoor winter use in Chicago's climate.

Most residential installations are completed in a single day — typically 3 to 7 hours depending on the scope. Larger homes with extensive landscaping lighting, roof peaks, or multi-structure properties may span into a second day. We confirm the estimated timeline in your quote so you can plan accordingly. Our crew arrives on time, works efficiently, and cleans up completely before leaving. You won't be living with ladders and equipment scattered across your yard for days.

Not necessarily. Many of our clients are at work or out running errands while we install. We only need access to your exterior — no indoor access is required in most cases. If your design includes wrapping trees, lighting walkways, or accessing areas near a gate or fence, we'll coordinate with you in advance. We'll send photos when the display is complete so you can see the result before you pull into the driveway.

Absolutely — the entire display is customized to your taste. During the design consultation, we'll walk you through warm white, cool white, multicolor, and specialty color options, as well as bulb shape (C7, C9, mini lights, net lights, and more). We'll also discuss roofline styles — whether you prefer classic straight-line icicle drops, wrapped ridgelines, or layered dimensional designs. We'll bring samples to your consultation so you can see exactly how each option looks before committing.

We do it all. Rooflines are the most common request, but a truly show-stopping display usually involves multiple elements: wrapped trunk-and-canopy trees, lit walkway hedges, illuminated entrance columns, lighted wreaths, and even backyard features. We design the full exterior experience, not just the gutter line. During your consultation we'll look at your property holistically and suggest which elements will give you the most visual impact for your budget.

We include a simple outdoor timer with every installation that automates your on/off schedule — most clients set them to turn on at dusk and off by 11 PM or midnight. For clients who want smartphone control, we can integrate with a smart plug (compatible with Alexa, Google Home, and Apple HomeKit) so you can adjust timing or toggle lights from your phone. You'll never have to go outside in the cold to flip a switch.

Takedown is included in every service package, typically scheduled in the first two weeks of January. Our crew returns, carefully removes all lights and clips, inspects each strand for damage, and stores everything in our climate-controlled facility for next season. Nothing sits in your attic or garage. When fall arrives again, we show up with your fully tested, organized display ready to go back up.
